Montfermier is a picturesque village in the sunny south of France located in the hilly part of the Tarn and Garonne. The village has 111 inhabitants and consists of 90% farmers. They grow garlic, melons and kiwis. The famous plum, the Reine Claude is here. Small they grow some grapes, mostly for home consumption. The people are very friendly and hospitable, and have time for a chat. You can make beautiful walks. There are two beautiful hiking routes marked by the melon and sunflower fields, directly from the cottage. The Apartments are only 50m from the church of Montfermier on a generous plot planted with fruit trees of 8000 m2. The site houses a large barn and other old buildings including an interesting pigeonnier (pigeon). The house is a former farm and is built on a slope, so the entrance is at street level. As we attend to the catering, we can advise and assist. We speak Dutch, of course, but also a smattering French, German and English. Do you have specific questions or requests? Let us know and we can sort it out for you.
